Vito is a 13-year-old Miniature Schnauzer in Dale, TX who needs $3,800 for MRI / CAT scan for his seizures.

My ex wife wanted a dog when while living in an apartment in Las Vegas in 2007. I had dog's growing up but never one of my own. I really thought nothing of it until we got to the pet store. I was not very inquisitive or interested but then I saw him and I knew he was my dog. I had 500 dollars and he was 800. I told them not to sell him I'd be right back. I won 300 playing cards then got him.

I have four dogs. Vito is the kindest of them all. The one who makes friends with any dog or person. He breaks up fights. He shows compassion for all the other dogs. He is loved by all the other dogs. He has always slept next to my head on the adjacent pillow. He is patient and reads my emotions. He is perfect. He is better than this world and from somewhere else entirely.

All in the past year and a half I was divorced, lost my house, my 4 yr old lab was hit by a semi truck, and backed out of my job because emotional stress was just too much. I came to live on my moms land to be with family and spend it with my other dogs just to heal.

Vito was struck in the head by a dog and had a seizure. Two days later he had 2 seizures and rushed to the ER. The ER said inflammation likely caused a brain tumor to activate these seizures. I don't buy it. He never had seizures before this dog hit him. I believe he had brain trauma and seizures as a result but MRI /CAT scan is needed by a neurologist in Central Texas, but way out of my budget.

Vito is a lover. He loves to be by my side. When you think of the type of dog you hope your dog will be he is it. He is a hunter, a pack leader, a friend, selfless and affectionate. He makes me think how amazing dogs can be. When you know you have that one dog who is the one, he is it for me. He has been there for me through everything the past 13 years where no other living thing has, a rock.
