About this campaign

My sister gave me Vivienne after my dogs were given away when I was hospitalized with pneumonia after contracting COVID-19. I had to be intubated for a week or so and when the doctor tried to take me off of the ventilator, I went into cardiac arrest so the medical staff had to put me back under. My prognosis was not good so my family gave my dogs to a rescue center.

My Vivienne is my baby. I’m sorry to admit that she is spoiled rotten. She sleeps wherever she wants but mostly sleeps with me. She is everything to me.

When Vivienne gets hungry, she lets me know by dancing and whining; and when I do not get up fast enough, she gets louder. Whenever I get her leash, she gets so excited and dances, whines and howls (it is so cute).

Vivienne vomited one day and would not eat, the next day, she did the same thing. I had to take her to the emergency vet and they told me she has a blockage in her intestines. There was no surgeon on staff that night so I took her to my vet the next day. The cost was going to be $2,423.00 and they needed all of the money before they did the surgery so I took her home and tried to borrow money.

I had to retire early because of illness, thus, I did not have all of the funds to pay for the surgery. I was able to borrow some money from a family member. Vivienne was suffering so I was going to have to have her euthanized. The vet agreed to do surgery for 1/2 down.
