Vivienne, aka Vivie, was found as a stray with painful chemical burns by Animal Control on the streets of LA. After arriving at Baldwin Park Animal Shelter, she was rescued and cared for by Balooja's Foundation before being transported to Big Bones Canine Rescue in Northern Colorado in hopes of finding her furever family.

The first 24 hours with Vivie's foster family showed life hadn't been kind to her. She was anxious of her foster fur siblings and flinched when she was pet- yet she still followed her foster family room to room. Now Vivie happily plays with all her foster family, human and furry, snores away curled up next to her foster dad in bed, and loves to snuggle and give kisses.

Vivie is your typical happy-go-lucky French Bulldog. You would never guess she has severe Pulmonic Stenosis, a heart condition in which she could have sudden cardiac arrest at any moment. She plays like there's no tomorrow- something that could be very true for her.
She has a penchant for giving giant kisses on the neck, face, and ears - so big you might feel your ear be sucked into her mouth.

During a visit to the vet, a Grade 3 heart murmur was detected. Further evaluation at PetCardia in Loveland, Colorado uncovered her Pulmonic Stenosis and she was referred to CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital for a Balloon Valvuloplasty.
However, due to their anatomy most Bulldogs cannot have this procedure and require a cardiac PV stent placement instead.

Balooja's Foundation and Big Bones Canine Rescue have been working hard to raise money for her heart surgery through fundraising and grants.
They've managed to raise enough for the pre-op work up and the 80% deposit for the surgery. However, there's still 20% left to raise!
