About this campaign

When my roommate and I got Void, we weren't planning on getting another cat. We had just lost one of our babies in February because of a urinary blockage that wasn't caught in time. In June, we were informed of two 8 week old kittens stuck in a storm drain, and felt like it was a sign. We rescued Void and Khaos and quickly realized that Void had a fractured pelvis, which has since healed.

Void was initially taken to our vet Skipworth Veterinary Clinic on 1/20 for what we believed to potentially be a urinary blockage. We found out it wasn't, thankfully, but he did have a severe intestinal blockage. Initially he was staying overnight for fluids and an edema, which seemed to be working. Another Xray showed that the blockage wasn't cleared and surgery would be next best step.

As you can probably tell from Void's background, he is a fighter. Despite having a fractured pelvis he used a litterbox immediately, he still tried to play with his brother and he healed incredibly fast treatment on his leg started 5 days before the video of him running around with no limp at all. He loves to play with our other cats, and with us. He is very affectionate, especially with Khaos.

I am a full time college student & my roommate works full time, around a year & a half ago he lost his job and we had to use our emergency fund to get by while he got another. Other emergencies just added on since then and we thought we were in a good spot until now.
