Wade is a 2-year-old Long hair in Enfield, CT, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Urethrostomy.

Two years ago we adopted Wade and his brother Remy, as kittens from a local cat rescue as pets for our twin boys. These two fluffy boys fit so perfectly into our home. Unfortunately, Remy died from heart complications about a year ago. Wade still has another older brother, Logan, who he enjoys napping with and chasing around at night.

Wade has a large presence in our home. He is the most social and talkative cat, I have ever met. He loves endless belly rubs and watching the birds out the window. Wade enjoys spending his afternoons sleeping the boys bed or sunning himself with Logan. Wade loves to greet any guests that visit and will always take extra cuddles. At night he loves playing with Logan and making a lot of noise.

We are still paying for Wade’s second procedure ($4k for both treatments). My husband works full time and I stay home with the kids and work two part-time jobs to make ends meet. One of our sons has a speech condition. He has weekly appointments for therapy treatment

Wade has had two urinary blockages so far this year (January & March). Even though he was on prescription pet food he blocked a second time. It’s the vets recommendation to do a PU (Perineal Urethrostomy) surgery to help significantly reduce the chance of another blockage. Due to Wade’s young age the vet believes it would be in Wade’s best interest to prevent any future pain or complications.

Wade is beyond special! He is a big boy with an outgoing and loving personality. He is truly a big part of our day. If he’s not watching birds or napping, he can be found hanging out with the family! We enjoy our conversations during the day and his little reminders to take a break and give him a belly rub. Everyone simply adores him.
