We’ve had Waffle since he was 3 months old and he’s become our world. In a blended family with six kids, he grew up with us and is my best friend. Almost overnight he tore his CCL ligament and I have been an emotional mess ever since. We consider ourselves to have seven children because we love him exactly the same way.

Waffle is a character and we joked that he isn’t really a dog. He doesn’t chase his tail, fetch balls and he doesn't really like other dogs. He’s been nipped a few times by neighborhood dogs so he gives all his love to people and just loves to cuddle and get treats. You’d love him as much as we do. Thank you for any help you can offer.

My husband works in NYC and with the pandemic, we’re down to just my secretarial paycheck. We would never ask for help otherwise. We put half on our credit card and half is being paid off to the vet. Basically we are financing the whole $4,200.

We’ve been pretty lucky with Waffle as far as his health is concerned. This is really the first time he’s ever needed some serious care. He just woke up one day hopping on three legs and the vet told us that afternoon he needed to have surgery. The next day the surgeon squeezed us in and it was done. It just came at a horrible time during the pandemic because my husband is out of work.

Waffle is a mush. So scared of the vet and doesn't like baths. He’s not a runner, even stays in the yard without a leash. He loves to lay in the sun and work on his Puggle tan. Chasing after footballs when someone misses a catch, is also a favorite pastime of his. Out of everything, I'm pretty sure his favorite thing to do is cuddle and eat Busy Bonz.
