About this campaign
Wall-E is a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix we adopted from Squishy Face Crew on Valentine’s Day last year. We originally named him Ollie, but his 3-year-old human sister had other ideas, and Wall-E it was. From day one, he has been pure personality. We have a full house —6 dog and Cat siblings, and Wall-e Rules the roost!
Lastnight we were hit with a major snow storm, and as soon as Wall-e set foot outside he slipped on ice and suffered a complete Radius/Ulna Fracture. Treatment options include surgery to provide internal fixations of the fracture. This is expected to cost $4500.
Wall-E’s favorite things include:
Hiking at Alum Springs Park
Swimming in the river when the weather’s warm
Jumping into the big dogs’ play fights
Chasing after fetch games and barking encouragement when he can’t keep up
Curling up with his human sister at nap time
Somehow taking up all the room in Mom and Dad’s bed despite being tiny
We are normally able to provide the best veterinary care, but this emergency is beyond what our savings can cover. I plan to return to work, but with my husband full time and no regular childcare, I’m limited to working weekends. Any support helps bridge the gap.
