About this campaign

My partner Jon and I recently bought our first dog together, a little tumbleweed-tazmania devil joy, named Wallace. He is the most affectionate, adorably precocious, and inquisitive little boy who has my whole heart. Wallace is a Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees puppy combo from a small local breeder who likes to sit in our small backyard and watch the birds.

Wallace absolutely loves people! He is still learning to walk on the leash and absolutely needs to stop every 5 feet or so to sniff rocks, get pets from people/strangers, give kisses to children (when asked of course), and play tag or keep away all day every day! He loves snoozing on his lofted little bed with his 'baby' lamb, or by the door for a nice cool breeze.

Wallace stole our hearts when we first picked him up, and he has them now and forever, for as long as we can keep him. He loves people of all ages, loves other dogs, cats and other animals, has an adorable rolly polly personality, and steals your sock when you're not looking, he (like most of us) has bed head when he wakes up in the morning, and can't wit to give you kisses!

At only 13 weeks, he needed 2 blood transfusions, multiple xrays, IVs, round the clock hospitalization, and an enormous about of internal medicine to start sealing a hole in his GI. We found out Wallace has a hereditary condition he was born with called: intrahepatic portosystemic shunt that requires surgery by a specialty surgeon.

While Jon and I are doing the best we can, neither of us make a significant amount of money, and maxing out our credit card to cover Wallace’s bills so far has been straining, we simply do not have the funds to cover his major surgery required.
