About this campaign

I adopted Walrus almost 3 years ago. He came out of a hoarder situation with hundreds of other dogs. He was caged outside most of his life. He is now in a loving home with 2 other fur siblings and my husband and 3 children.

About a year ago, Walrus was experiencing panting episodes. I took him to the vet and they explained to me that he had a heart murmer. It was on a scale of 3 out of 6. He also had a bad cough in the morning which the dr explained his trachea was starting to close up. He was on meds for 10 days. It came back and now he is at a level 4 of 6.

Walrus wouldn't hurt a fly. When we came home with him from the shelter, it was like he was always ours. He fits right in our crazy, funny household. From sneezes in our faces to snoring at night, we wouldn't have it any other way!

I know I made the right decision bringing him into our family. It was meant to be. What I didn't know was how expensive it could be. With 3 kids and 2 other pets, I got myself into a bind that I never even thought of. I guess I just thought nothing would ever happen to them.
