About this campaign
I lost my previous Bassett, Roger a month after I lost my Great Dane. My best friend thought I was too sad and brought me Walter! No other humans in the house. Just me my adopted dogs and several cats I trapped in the park over the years and couldn't find homes.
Saw Walter's right side of mouth was swollen and ran him to vet. When we opened his mouth we were in shock with the mass extending to his upper mouth. He is on anti biotic and anti inflammatory and Gabapebtin for pain until the surgery. The rescue vet thought it looked like cancer, but my vet said he has seen before and most likely benign
Walter is so stubborn , like most Bassets, but he has the best personality..he's goofy and loves and naps with the cats. He also still sleeps on me even though he's 60 lbs. I let him for a few hours. Then his weight starts cutting of the circulation in my legs and have to let him down. He still thinks he weighs 20lbs. He has one of the most beautiful faces and just learned how to howl!!
Divorced and have one income now. Actually trying to sell house to move in something smaller. Also because our city re evaluated our home values and my new tax bill doubled causing my house payment to go up from 700 to 1000!!. Which I live check to check already!
