Walter James was running out of time

When CAMO Rescue learned that Walter James was on the euthanasia list at a local municipal shelter, they knew they couldn’t turn away. With no one else stepping forward to save him, CAMO stepped in and gave him the second chance he desperately deserved.

Walter James arrived in terrible condition. He was severely matted, Heartworm positive, and suffering from a large ruptured mass on the side of his neck. Years of neglect have clearly taken a toll, and he is now facing a long road to recovery. The painful mass will require surgery, and his Heartworm treatment will involve extensive veterinary care and rest in the months ahead.

Luckily, Walter James is finally safe. For the first time in a long time, he has people fighting for him and a chance at the life every dog deserves.

CAMO Rescue is committed to giving Walter James the medical care he urgently needs, but they can’t do it alone. Donations will help cover the cost of his surgery, diagnostics, Heartworm treatment, medications, and ongoing veterinary care.
