Walter is a 13 year old Austrian Black and Tan Hound in Raleigh , NC, who needs $1,500 for X-ray, blood work, IV.

I rescued Walter from the Wake County Animal Shelter 10 years. He has been with me living in Raleigh, then moving to Myrtle Beach, and finally back to Raleigh. I currently live in small studio apartment.

Walter is currently at the Spring Forest Animal Hospital. Last week, his appetite started to decline then on Friday, he would not eat at all. Due to his age and arthritis, he had difficulty walking but it really worsened in the past few days. Bloodwork showed that his red and white cell counts were very elevated so he was put on an IV for several days and an X-ray was done.

Walter had always been a great dog to everyone he meets. He loves my nieces and nephews and his sister, Marley. He is always very calm and laid back. He loves exploring and sniffing any tree, bush, flowers.

I am currently working for Door dash making ok money but have to spend a lot money each week on gas. The vet has done an excellent job in caring for Walter but that care is really expensive and I don’t make much money.
