Wanda is a 6-year-old Golden Retriever in Aurora, CO, who needs $2,000 for Leg Amputation.

I rescued my sweet Wanda 2 years ago. She came all the way to the US from Turkey. She lived on the streets until she was taken into a shelter there.
It took awhile for her to be adopted due to a bad rear leg. When I saw her picture and profile, I knew she was for me. She came to the US was timid and scared but it didn't take long for her to realize she was safe and home.

Wanda has a protective sister, Lucy, another rescue. They play, snuggle and enjoy what is now a FANTASTIC life.
Everywhere we go, Wanda gets so much attention and laps it up for extra pets.

Wanda has the most beautiful heart and personality, you can see it in her smile. The photos provided show this. You can see the kindness in her heart and just how happy she is after a really rough start in the streets if Turkey.

Wanda injured her bad leg and it's time to remove the leg. She is an excellent candidate, per the Vet. Once we have enough funds we can have her leg amputated. This will actually bring her relief and improve her quality of life and PLAY.
We found the perfect surgeon at VCA Alameda East Veteranary Hospital.

This is an unexpected expense of $5,000. We moved to CO this year. With the expense of a move, decreased of my job income and other vet expenses, any help is appreciated. This will ensure Wanda can get back out there for cat rides, hikes and playing with friends and Lucy.
