🐾 WAYLON’S FINAL WAGGLE UPDATE — SURGERY DAY IS ALMOST HERE! 🐾
We’ve made it to the point where we can officially say: Waylon’s mucosal resection surgery is happening this Thursday! ❤️
After everything we’ve been through getting this good ol’ boy ready, we’re moving forward with his procedure. The funds raised through his Waggle campaign are required on the day of his surgery, so the timing is incredibly important.
I cannot thank everyone enough for donating, sharing his story, checking on him, and cheering this goofy boy on. What started as a very stressful and scary situation has been made so much easier because of the kindness and generosity of so many people. 🥹🐾
This will be my final Waggle update, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop following Waylon’s adventure! I’ll be posting updates on my Facebook page throughout his surgery and recovery, so everyone who has been rooting for him can see how he’s doing and follow along with his progress.
Thank you for helping Waylon get to this point. He may have a pain in the bum, but he also has an army of people in his corner. ❤️🐶

About this campaign
I adopted Waylon in 2017. He was a 7-week-old puppy from a hoarding situation and was very timid and scared of everything. While certain things still startle him, like opening a garbage bag or sneezing, he is now a happy, goofy boy who loves attention. Waylon loves to watch and patrol the cul-de-sac, hang with his fur sister, and snuggle.
Waylon has developed a rectal polyp, which causes him much discomfort. He strains when pooping and bleeds significantly. He had a colonoscopy at Greater Cincinnati Animal Hospital in June but unfortunately, the polyp was too big to be removed. The vet took biopsies, which thankfully came back as benign! He now needs mucosal resection surgery to safely remove the polyp so he live comfortably.
To know Waylon is to love Waylon. He doesn't believe that strangers exist- just friends he hasn't met yet. He is a 90lb gentle giant with the biggest heart. He loves children and hates when someone sneezes. His best friend is the 7lb mini poodle next door, but I'm not sure if the poodle feels the same. He loves playing with his stuffed taco and adores his fur sister, who mostly tolerates him.
Waylon’s unsuccessful colonoscopy means he now needs a $3,900–$4,700 mucosal resection. His polyp is benign but could become cancerous. This procedure is very expensive, but it will give him a pain-free, happy life—which is all I want for him!

Waylon has reviewed the estimate for surgery and is worried that collecting treats, tennis balls and rocks isn’t enough to help. Thankfully, we have some great friends who have already contributed $200 towards his care!
