At 11 years old, Wee Wee has already entered her golden years, and after being surrendered by her family, she found herself needing a new place to call home.

Despite being blind, Wee Wee doesn't let the world around her slow her down. She is an incredibly sweet, gentle little girl who is quiet, loving, and happiest when she can simply be close to someone she trusts. All she wants is to feel safe and loved.

When Wee Wee came into the care of D&A Animal Rescue, they took her to the veterinarian to find out exactly what she needed to keep her comfortable and healthy. Because of her eye condition, she was referred to another veterinarian for a more detailed ophthalmic examination.

The results were difficult, but they also gave her rescue team a clear path forward: Wee Wee will need Latanoprost eye drops for the rest of her life.

For a senior dog who has already lost her vision, keeping her eyes comfortable and managing her condition is incredibly important. Thankfully, her blindness hasn't taken away her ability to love. Wee Wee is still the same affectionate little girl who just wants to curl up beside someone and know she's safe.
