About this campaign

My beautiful calico queen Whiskers came into my life 11 years ago. She was a wild kitten in need of a loving safe space to become the magnificent cat she is. From climbing walls and tearing through the house to patrolling for mice and baking biscuits she's been exactly what my heart needed. Whiskers is so brave and full of life she never goes a day without rolling in the sunshine.

Whiskers was taken to the vet on Saturday on emergency for lethargy and lack of eating. Our primary vet gave her an exam and after listening to her lungs believed possible pneumonia. He gave iv fluids, an antibiotic shot as well as pain meds to keep her comfortable. Returned Sunday morning asked by our vet for another round of fluids. Today, Monday, after xrays discovered she has a collapsed lung.

Whiskers is so loved in our family, from her doggy siblings to even the chickens that share her backyard. Brave and curious, she is truly a special girl. She loves watching the world around her always with an inquisitive mind. She has been with me through so many milestones, she knows every person I've been and loved me through every chapter.

Last of my funds went to the visit Saturday. With friends and loved ones was able to cover the cost. Now after her updated diagnosis I am at an absolute loss. Specialist gave estimate of $7000-$9000 based off of xrays sent by primary. Applied for a loan but credit isnt great
