Whiskey is a 10-month-old Labrador in Portland, OR, who needs $2,000 for Tendon Surgery-Rear Leg.

Christmas 2021 my husband brought home two chocolate lab pups, Whiskey Bear and Smokey Bear. They have both been a wonderful addition to our family. Reilly is our female 4 year old shepherd/husky rescue and Enzo is our 1 year old orange tabby cat. We enjoy camping, hiking and swimming. Whiskey is the quiet, chill boy, while Smokey and Reilly are the wild ones.

Whiskey is calm natured, and a friend to all. Whiskey enjoys napping on the couch, chewing antlers, yak sticks and branches in the yard. We call Whisk our branch manager, and the other two dogs his assistant branch managers. Whiskey is very loyal to Mom and likes to sleep on the floor on moms side of the bed. Whisk has always enjoyed laying with his legs stretched out, on his back or his belly.

Whiskey enjoys fetch, swimming, bike rides and tug-of-war with his brother and sister. We all enjoy walks through the park together. Whiskey is a sweet boy, he truly loves everyone. A friend to cats, dogs and people. When children approach Whisk he sits and is so calm and loving. Kids always tell me Whiskey is their favorite.

October 13, 2022 Whiskey was doing zoomies with his brother and sister, when he tragically got his back foot caught under a shed where a piece of metal trim severed his Achilles tendon. Whiskey has been in good spirits through this whole ordeal. We are hopeful for our upcoming surgery.

I had my owe health scare August 2022 and had to be hospitalized with Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and a Pulmonary embolism. My medical bills were not fully covered by my current insurance plan. This was already a tough blow to my family and our finances and now poor Wiskey
