Whitney’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she was surrendered to a crowded, high-kill shelter. She arrived in pain and confusion, with a stick lodged across the roof of her mouth. No one knows how long she had been suffering, but it was clear she had been living in constant discomfort.

Despite everything, Whitney is gentle, trusting, and so deserving of a second chance, which she got when she was adopted into the most loving home. The rescue said they would help pay for her ongoing medical bills, determined to get her the care she needs and ensure she never knows that kind of suffering again.
