About this campaign

I picked Whitney out of her litter when she was 8 weeks old from a local breeder of Lhasa Apso's. She was born on Halloween and will be 11 years old this coming Halloween. She is named after her sire. She lives with me in an apartment building.

Whitney sleeps with me in bed or when warm she sleeps on the floor beside the bed. She loves her walks and usually wants to go around the block daily. Even after she's had her walk she has a route she routinely wants to go on around the building to wander around.

She knows her whole normal daily routine for when she gets brought outside, feeding times, when it's time to relax in the evening with a treat bone. She will stay around me during those times. She gets excited when it's time to go outside and will grab one of her favorite toys usually a stuffed hedgehog and shake it around. When we go outside and she sees neighbors she has to go say hi.

Whitney was diagnosed with a mass in her bladder that may be attached to her bladder wall. Whitney was also diagnosed with a torn CCL. The treatment is to remove as much of the mass in her bladder as possible and send it in to see if its cancerous. For her CCL treatment is a CCL repair surgery.

I have been on social security disability since 2011. I live around the federal poverty line. Whitney will have to be my final dog because I can't ensure I can take care of another dog properly. I'm not able to do much due to my broken back. Whitney is my only companion.
