About this campaign
Wickett came to me 11 years ago from a friend who wasn't able to care for him properly. We lived in Texas, moved to Michigan, and now live in the city in Illinois. He has a "sister" dog and a "brother" cat. This crew is the one he's been with the longest, though we've lost members along the way. He has a fenced back yard he enjoys spending time in.
We go on several sniff walks daily. He really enjoys using his nose! His favorite place to sleep is on the bed in a puddle of sunshine. Wickett won't get out of bed until noon if I don't roust him! We play sniff games daily and he likes to chase his Squeaks! Wickett is not a very food motivated dog, he prefers a lot of praise!
Wickett is a talker and gives a lot of sass if someone does something he doesn't approve of. He's terrified of thunder, fireworks, loud cars, and a variety of high pitched beeps. Wickett has a habit of going absolutely boneless if he's not done with you petting him. His favorite place to hide is a nest under the couch.
Wickett has a mass on his eye that needs to be removed. He also needs to have his teeth cleaned before he gets any older. The Oak Knoll Animal Hospital says they can do the both at the same time. The mass is getting larger and it's starting to obstruct his vision somewhat. Hopefully it can be removed without too much damage to his eyelid.
I had to get my roof replaced unexpectedly this spring, followed by a breast biopsy with a very high deductible insurance. I cannot afford to do this surgery and cleaning for Wickett and it's breaking my heart to see that mass on his eyelid when he gives me kisses!
