Help William's Will to Heal

William’s journey to a new life began with a simple act of hope. After being hit by a car, he limped to a neighbor’s house every day for ten days, looking for food and suffering with a badly broken leg. The neighbor finally convinced William’s owners to surrender him so he could get the help he needed. That’s when One by One Animal Advocates stepped in to save him.

X-rays showed William had a serious tibial fracture that started to heal incorrectly, due to the delay in care he needed. Surgery was tricky, but the vet found a way to wire his leg and place it in a splint. Saving his leg wasn’t simple, but William’s resilience and the love of his rescue team made all the difference and his healing journey is now underway.

After surgery, William stayed in the hospital for a month for monitored healing. Even through the tough days, he stayed sweet and full of life. At just one year old, he’s discovering joy again, learning that people care and that better days are ahead. William’s future is looking brighter with every step he takes.

William hit a huge roadblock when he developed sores the length of his leg that would not heal despite multiple rounds of antibiotics, and he had to be hospitalized for three weeks. William’s splint and bandages have been removed, his leg is healing, and he has been discharged, but not without a hefty expense. Thank you for your ongoing support!

William has continued to heal and is doing so well! He’s healing steadily, and his sweet personality is truly shining through. He’s become more confident by the day. It’s been a joy to watch him come out of his shell and embrace the comfort and love he finally knows he deserves.
