About this campaign
Willow is a 10-month-old pittie mix who was rescued from an inner-city shelter in New Jersey. Instead of enjoying puppyhood, she has been living with pain.
In December, Willow began limping and was diagnosed with ulnar premature epiphyseal closure, a painful orthopedic condition that will only worsen without surgery. Although this is a fixable condition, the surgery is expensive. She is scheduled for life-changing orthopedic surgery on February 24, with an estimated cost of $6,992.40, plus critical follow-up care. Without this surgery, Willow would face a lifetime of discomfort and limited mobility.
Despite everything, Willow is pure puppy at heart. She greets her people with a full-body wiggle and a hopeful expression that makes it impossible not to smile. She loves soft blankets and gentle belly rubs. Even on sore days, she tries to keep up by offering tail wags and short bursts of playful energy before the pain slows her down.
What’s most remarkable about Willow is her resilience. She wants to explore the world like any 10-month-old pup should. Right now, her body simply isn’t allowing her to do that comfortably.
Today, Willow is finally safe in a foster-to-adopt home, surrounded by love as she prepares for surgery. Her family is committed to giving her the life she deserves — one filled with long walks, carefree zoomies, and the simple joy of moving without pain. But they can’t do it alone.
This surgery is urgent and truly life-changing. Your support will help relieve Willow’s pain, restore her mobility, and give this sweet young girl the healthy, active future she deserves. Every contribution brings her one step closer to a life where she can just be a puppy.
