My son had wanted a goldendoodle for a really long time and as a single mom, a doodle of any kind was out of my budget. So I saved and scrimped and finally was able to get my baby boy the best Christmas present ever - this handsome giant baby, our lap dog Willow. This gentle giant has been the absolute best thing to help my children through some pretty horrific traumas through the past 3 years.

Willow eats everything, no matter how much we try to prevent or stop him. Unfortunately it appears that sometime this week he ate something that had caused a full blockage / obstruction. Surgery is the only option. Banfield Hospital at Petsmart was the only place that would see him today and they’ve been amazing with him, doing everything possible to avoid surgery. But it’s a must.

This gentle giant is the best dog I’ve ever met. He is so loving and gentle with my 7 year old, yet playful and wild. He is my shadow, very protective of me. Coming out of a domestic violence situation, he literally takes every step with me and stands between me and anyone else. He is our protector, our snuggler, and our playmate. And he is nonstop silly.

I’m a single mom. I’ve spent thousands this week in attorneys fees for court fighting my daughter’s abuser. Then my car died and I had to get a new one. I just don’t have the funds for this emergency. And saving him literally means everything to me and my babies.
