Wilson is a 12 year-old Golden Retriever in Pensacola, FL, who needs $950 for tumor removal.

Wilson just turned 12 - I've had him since he was 10 weeks old. He is the best dog in the world - and I've had a few dogs - but nothing like him. I take him to nursing homes and he visits the old. My mother is 93 and was in rehab for a month after a broken hip a few months ago and he went every day - and everyone there (187 patients) loved him so much!!! We then just got news in March that he has cancer. He has a huge mass growing on his front right leg - it grew from the size of a marble to a golf ball in about 3 weeks. I took him to the vet and they did a biopsy and told me it was malignant (cancer) and said to have it removed would be around $2000 to $3000 (to make sure there is no more cancer) and about $1000 to remove it with no guarantee that the cancer would be gone. I'm a single mother of a teenage son , my mother I take care of and she has been with me 14 years - she is 93 years old and just broke her hip in December 2018 and I've been trying to rehab her, I work as a medical transcriptionist from home and make not very much money. I have no health insurance and have suffered from breast cancer and can't even get a follow-up mammogram after 2 years after not having health insurance. I have many problems and my dog is right now the most important to me because he has been my only friend for many years - he is so important to this family falling apart. Please help!!!
