About this campaign

Windsor suffered unimaginable injuries after being struck in a devastating train accident. When he was rushed to the veterinary hospital, doctors found that both hind legs were severely damaged — his right hind leg is extensively mangled and his left hind limb is partially destroyed. He was immediately started on pain medication, wound care, and emergency dressings to stabilize him. But Windsor’s injuries go far beyond what can be seen.

His bloodwork shows he is in a slightly critical condition:

\- Severe anemia - Hematocrit only 17% - White blood cell count over 40,000, indicating serious infection and inflammation

Windsor is now receiving aggressive treatment including Ceftriaxone, Metronidazole, Meloxicam, Polybion, IV medications, and supportive care as doctors work to get him stable enough for surgery.

The plan is to perform surgical correction of his hind limbs, but his blood values must improve first. Right now, Windsor is in pain, hospitalized, and fighting to survive.

He needs:

\- Emergency hospitalization - Medications and IV care - Repeat bloodwork - Daily wound treatment - Upcoming leg surgeries

This is a massive medical case, and we cannot save Windsor without help. Please donate to give this brave boy a chance to heal, walk again, and know a life beyond pain. Every dollar makes a difference for Windsor.

5/26/26 Update

It is with absolutely shattered hearts that we share that Windsor has passed away.

After suffering unimaginable trauma from a devastating train accident, Windsor fought with everything he had. Despite aggressive medical care, pain management, wound treatment, IV medications, and the tireless efforts of the veterinary team, his injuries were simply too severe. The damage to both of his hind legs, combined with severe anemia, overwhelming infection, and the extent of his internal trauma, became too much for his little body to overcome.

We wanted so badly to give Windsor the second chance he deserved. We hoped he would make it to surgery, heal, and one day know a life free from pain and fear. But sometimes, despite love, medicine, and every possible effort, the injuries are just too catastrophic.

Windsor did not pass alone. He was surrounded by people who cared deeply for him, who fought for him, and who made sure he knew comfort, kindness, and love in his final moments.

We are endlessly grateful to every single person who donated, shared his story, prayed for him, and supported his care. Your compassion gave Windsor dignity, relief from suffering, and the knowledge that he mattered.

Please keep our team and Windsor in your thoughts as we grieve this heartbreaking loss. Run free, sweet boy. No more pain.
