“Wini” (Winifred Sanders) is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Glendora, CA, who needs $1,071 for treatment for injuries sustained from a recent trauma.

Wini (and her sister) were scheduled to be euthanized at just a little over five months old . I wasn’t in the market for another cat. After fostering & rescuing for several years, I felt I needed a “break.” But as I passed her cage she reached her paw out and grabbed my leg. Her eyes looked up at me and said, “can I go home now?” ... and home she went... her sister too.

I’m not sure if she knows how close she was to death, but she shows us every day how grateful she is to be alive.... she immediately attached to us as a family, but bonded mostly to my older son “Z”

Wini is an indoor-only cat. But Z left. He now serves our country. I don’t think Wini quite understands. She goes to his bed and often sleeps on his shirt. I often lay next to her and cry... yes. Wini, I miss him too hunny.

Sadly, she got out. Someone accidentally left the door open and when I got home from work she was gone.

She was found two days later. She was returned to me with a bloody eye and dragging her back leg. She’s in pain. And is under so much stress, her hair is falling out in clumps.

I’ve called every hospital and clinic I could to inquire about payment arrangements. Sadly, there are no such programs.

I found a lower-cost hospital nearby last night. I paid for another round of pain injections and eye ointment. But she still needs a lot of work. X-rays, blood work, sedation, etc. Can anyone please help me help her?
