Winn Dixie came to us from another shelter. She had a mild cough. A lovely family put in an adoption application for Winn Dixie. Winn Dixie was checked thoroughly by our vet. Due to the family having an immuno comprimised family member, it was very important to ensure Winn Dixie did not have any respiratory illness that could be transmitted to humans. Winn Dixie spent a few days in the animal hospital to receive antibiotics and to run tests for possible illnesses that could be transferred to humans . the results of the lab work eventially cleared Winn Dixie for going to her adoptive home. She is a very sweet and loving young dog.
