Winnie the Pooh is a 6-month-old Cocker Spaniel in Caldwell, CA, who needs $2,000 for Balloon Valvuloplasty Treatment for Pulmonic Stenosis.

I had just rescued a dog in California that was a Cocker Spaniel and had unsubscribed from all rescues and Pet Finder. Well one got through. One of the dogs was named Winnie the Pooh. He was so cute and I'm a Disney fanatic that I couldn't forget about him and I didn't. I applied and got chosen to take him home. I didn't even ask how old he was, I just knew he needed to be home with me.

Winnie the Pooh is a 6 month old puppy that was rescued in Oklahoma. A rescue brought him up to Idaho where he had a better chance of being rescued. When I got him he was shy and small. I wasn't sure how he was going to react with the other new dog, Ollee. They took to each other with no problems! Winnie the Pooh is still getting use to the people as I've only had him for just shy of 2 months.

Since he is still very much a puppy, he makes me laugh all the time. He's pretty small due to his illness, so he can't get up on the bed. He figured out he could push some pillows together, climb on them to get on the bed! He did this all by himself! Very resourceful. He also runs too fast for his legs and often falls over his own legs cause he gets going so fast that they can't keep up!

The first time we went in for a wellness check to the Vet. The Vet noticed a heart murmur and suggested we go to a specialist. This was the first I heard about it. Winnie the Pooh has Pulmonic Stenosis and needs heart surgery. If he doesn't get it, his life will be drastically reduce and he could die suddenly.

He falls in the severe category and this was unexpected. This silly little guy deserves a full life as he gives me life. His surgery is $5700, dog insurance won't cover it because it's per-exsisting. Without financial help, I won't be able to pay for this surgery.
