Winnie is a 1 year-old rescue full of love and playful energy. She was rescued from St. Croix and has been with me since May 2024. I was on my way to see another dog when I found her, and the moment she pressed her pink nose to my fingers, I knew she was the one.
She now lives with me, my mom, dad, and brother in Florida.

Winnie originally tested positive for heartworm in St. Croix, but the shelter later said she was negative and didn't need treatment. She's been on preventatives and remained asymptomatic. At her recent annual exam, she tested positive again. She's being treated at Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.

Winnie is incredibly friendly-she loves kids most, greets everyone with enthusiasm, and plays with every dog she meets. As someone who's introverted, her outgoing nature helps me feel more confident. She gives cuddles and kisses, only barks when demanding playtime, stays by your side when you're unwell, and sleeps on her back in silly positions.
