About this campaign

Winston was a gift from my mom. I’ve always wanted a British short hair and was saving up until my boyfriend of 3 years passed away from hypertension heart disease in his sleep. On Christmas of that same year my mother gifted my my baby Winston. With Covid-19 and the loss of my boyfriend he was my support animal and became a part of me I can’t lose.

Winston is apart of a big family of fur babies… His dog brother Joey, sister Ruby and fellow cat brother duke miss him like crazy. They were always together and now apart of us is missing. Everyone has always loved Winston as he loves everyone and just wants all the attention. From love bites to snuggles and I can’t forget his games of hide and seek.

Winston is truly one of a kind, he’s smart , sweet and full of love. He knows where his drawer of games and toys are and comes to get me when he wants to play haha He was my rock during these hard times and I can’t seem to go on without him. My heart truly hurts. I miss my cuddle buddy and just want him home. I can’t fathom the thought of losing him.

Monday night I found Winston sitting in his own blood . I brought him to the emergency clinic here in Ottawa. Winston was diagnosed with lower urinary tract disease and the bills are piling up. I’ve already spent tons of money and no longer have the funds to continue as his surgery is scheduled for Tuesday for a Perineal Urethrostomy. Without this surgery I need to put him down and I’m heartbroken.

Due to Covid I work part time and I can’t afford all of these vet bills. I’ve had to move back in with my parents which I’m grateful for. I can’t burden them for my help than I’ve already put in them.
