Winston is a 7 year old Dachshund in Syracuse, NY, who needs $2,000 for Hemi Laminectomy.

After putting down our last dachshund due to Degenerative Disc disease, we were devastated. One day, I went into a pet store to pick up an item for a friend. I immedietly saw Winston as a puppy in the corner of a glass kennel, lethargic and hungry. I asked to take him out and immedietly fell in love with Winston and brought him home before he was euthanized.

Winston is currently suffering from IVDD and a spinal disc rupture. Within 12 hours, Winston began to limp on one paw and became completely immobile / paralyzed without injury due to degenerative Disc Disease. Winston cannot walk, go to the bathroom on his own, or have a well lived life without the surgery to repair his ruptured disc. He is at Elemental Vet Pet hospital.

Winston isn’t just a dog to me- He is my “fur baby” who has been there for me every step of the way. Winston smiles at me, snuggles me when I am feeling sad, and is the best dog anyone could ever ask for. He is gentle, happy, and always knows how to put a smile on anyone’s face with his permanent grin. Everyone loves Winston so incredibly much.

To have Winston healthy again and to conduct surgery is more than I could ever ask. His paralysis will leave us to decide if we need to put him down without the surgery. I am hoping that the community can come together to help support our financial bills and help provide sur
