Winter is a 9 month old German Shepherd Dog in Fort St John, BC, who needs $2,000 for Wound Care and Skin Laser Treatment..

Winter is a rescue pup, we adopted her at approximately 5 months old. She had bounced around several homes and had been returned to the shelter more than once, before finding her “furever” home with us. She has been an amazing and cherished part of our family ever since.

Winter was hit and run over by a vehicle, and is severely injured. Her lungs, and other organs are bruised. Her left leg has a deep wound with flesh missing. Her most severe injury is her right leg; which was skinned from the leg tissue on approximately 80% of the leg. Her skin was ripped away during the accident, which resulted in needing daily treatment at the vet which is extremely costly.

Winter is the most loving, goofy, outgoing pup in the world. We adopted her in hopes of training her to be my medical support dog one day, as a working dog would benefit my life exponentially. She has such a promising and fulfilling future of love and amazing experiences ahead of her. We adore her.

I myself have been unable to work for the past 3 years due to severe medical issues, which are not covered under any sort of insurance. My husband is in the military and is away from us, he does not make nearly enough money to even begin to cover Winter’s medical expenses.
