Wiz is a 7-year-old Chihuahua in Ashland, OR, who needs $1,300 for tumor removal.

Allegra H.'s son first brought Wiz home seven years ago after someone gave him away in a parking lot, and the pup has been a part of the family ever since.

"Wiz is the light of my life. Wiz protects us and plays with our cats. Wiz loves to cuddle, and he loves going on walks and seeing the world," Allegra tells Waggle.

So Allegra panicked when her veterinarian discovered Wiz has a cancerous mast cell tumor on his nose. He needs immediate surgery to remove it, something Allegra can't afford.

"I am a full-time college student who just turned 50 after raising three kids on my own," Allegra says. "I live with my middle son, who is 23 and has high-functioning autism. He is on Social Security Disability, and I am receiving school grants and loans. We are on a very fixed budget and live in public housing."
