About this campaign

About 2 years ago, Woody showed up behind my home. Ever since, we've taken care of him: vaccines, neuter, shelter, and food. He was originally an outdoor cat, but due to his recent injury we have kept him inside to ensure his safety.

As mentioned, Woody was an outdoor cat. On 4/22, I noticed his right paw was flopping around and he was avoiding putting pressure on it. We took him to Bismarck Animal Clinic & Hospital, and they confirmed his leg was indeed broken. The options they gave us were: surgery, amputation, or euthanasia.

Even though we met as strangers, Woody has been the most loving and cuddly cat I've ever met. Even with his broken leg, he hasn't once lashed out or shown any signs of aggression. He hasn't been territorial or aggressive with my other cats, and is my youngest cat, Josie, best friend.

I'm currently a broke college student, finishing my BA in elementary education. I wouldn't be able to start working as a teacher until August, and I desperately want Woody to get the surgery he needs. It has been heartbreaking to see him trudge on. He has been so strong.
