Wookie is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Hamburg, NY, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Abdominal Surgery.

Wookie is a rescue we adopted during Covid. Working in a step down ICU during Covid was incredibly difficult and we wanted some happiness and joy. Wookie has been my giant baby since and is my constant shadow. He’s a wonderful “little” brother to his boy who’s 17, his doggie brother who’s 12 and his doggie sister who’s 6. He brings us so much joy and laughter being a total goofball!

He is being treated for possibly 2 blockages in his stomach and intestines. Requires exploratory surgery and possibly opening 2 organs for removal. He will then need to at least stay overnight at the vet.

Wookie has brought us so much love and laughter in the most difficult of times. He actually sounds like a Wookie when he plays with his cousins and is my constant shadow. He is always there to lay his head on my lap when I’m feeling stressed or anxious and adores my son cuddling up with him. though hes 60 pounds bigger than his older furbrother he knows hes old and blind and lets him lead

Sadly I was injured during Covid working in the hospital and have not been able to work since. I am a single mom who is doing my best to take care of my son and our fur family and this came totally unexpected. Having him home and healthy means everything to us
