Xany is a 5-year-old Pitbull Mix in Jacksonville , NC, who needs $1,000 for Surgery .

Xany came from a county shelter where she was surrendered by her owners. Unfortunately Xany was not in any medical shape to be adopted to the public. Her only options were to be euthanized or to find a rescue. Adoption First saw her and we could not leave her there. Originally it was thought that she had severe mastitis due from having a litter of puppies, however that was not the case.

Xany is currently in a foster home enjoying her life with other dog family members. She enjoys sun bathing, relaxing, and even playing from time to time. She LOVES her food and even needs to be on a little diet per the veterinarian suggestions as she continues to gain weight in her happy home life! She is very friendly and loves being around people.

Even though her tumors were not cancerous, she does have heart disease, severe skin infections, and needed lots of medical treatment. She still needs medication for her skin because her immune system is shot.

Originally it was thought she had a severe case of mastitis, and we were going to remove it while she was spayed. After she was seen, it was determined that she actually had severe tumors that were possibly cancerous. Her tumors were removed and sent off to pathology. The reports came back that it was most likely not cancerous, which is great news!

Xany deserves such a great life. She is too young to be euthanized because she was treated poorly in her earlier years. She deserves to understand the good life and to live the second half of her life happy and in a family home! She makes everyone smile who sees her, and loves rolling on her back to get belly rubs!
