Xen is a 5-month-old Mini Goldendoodle in Washington, DC, who needs $1,800 for Bile Acids Test.

I got xen in Pennsylvania on july 9. I originally got him as an emotional support dog. He is my first dog (outside of family dogs) he was 9 weeks when we met. We currently live in a studio apartment in washington, Dc when I come home from classes he is literally the highlight of me coming home since I live alone and have no family nearby.

When I first met xen, he was the most quiet and shy dog ever, which is why I named him xen but the older he got the more animated he became. He is honestly the opposite of zen now but I love it. Its funny because I previously mentioned I had got him to be an esa but I ended up being his emotional support, he was so shy about taking walks and meeting people which helped me break out as well.

My favorite thing about xen is he is always on go. He is always ready to get going. Whether it be to walk to the bathroom or make sure I get to the front door safely. He is also very cuddle driven, the thing that makes him the happiest is being petted and showing him affection. It is literally the cutest especially since hes shy around new people, no matter what he will accept to be petted.

In late august xen started having seizures, up to 4 a day, so I took him to the ER. We were told that its most likely a liver shunt but to get the correct diagnosis I have to do an mri, abdominal ultrasound and bile acids test to find out why he has seizures. The friendship hospital was able to provide us with seizure medicine and although he doesnt seize as often the seizure are worse then before

I am currently a college student at Howard University. I left my toxic household in nyc to pursue higher education which also means I have no family help for rent, electricity, food or transportation. I would deeply appreciate it, if I got help.
