Xena became a part of our family last year and has been a source of comfort, safety and love for my children and myself. Following the loss of our farm, she has been a protector to our family and emotional support to all of us. We were blessed to have her in our family, and she is too young to leave this world so soon.

Xena's laceration requires surgery which is anywhere between 5-7k. Her skin needs debriding and sutures, she will need antibiotics and pain medication. Unfortunately she needs to be treated at a facility equipped to handle her injuries, which the emergency vet locally is not equipped for. We were referred to Medvet in akron Ohio but do not have the financial ability to afford treatment for her.

Xena is a personality you have to experience personally to understand. She is a warrior princess absolutely, which is how this emergency began. Her will, determination and loyalty is everything a person could want in a dog/ companion animal. The healing she's brought to our family since joining us last year is something that could never be replaced.

This sudden expense coming after my divorce, and new relocation. It is too out of reach by ourselves but we don't want to lose are girl. We are trying everything we can to keep her stable long enough to raise funds for her surgery.
