Xena is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois in Tuscon, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Tuberosity Advancement.

Xena came into my life unexpected when I was working for a friend who owned a boarding house for horses. They bred Belgium Malinios on the side and had and unexpected pregnancy when one of the males got out. Long story short I had the first pick of the litter and I chose the runt, which is Xena. I wasn't very stable at the time but this was my dream dog breed my entire life, no joke!

Xena is with me 24/7 mostly. I am a semi disabled veteran who is going back to school in the next month but I plan on getting back to what Xena and myself did which was go on long walks and hikes and just play around and enjoy each others company. Its been very hard since she injured her leg and I need my dog back so bad. I miss her playful attitude and her leg being hurt has basically stopped all

Xena is a sweetheart and she is super smart. She is all off leash trained and can run full sprints with me between my legs. She is an all around great dog and is so fun to play with. She loves balls and long toss frisbee. She especially loves soccer balls and loves to play keep away until she gets it. She is a loving an compassionate dog towards humans and is not first aggressive. Great dog!

Xena is in great health besides the tear in her right lower leg tendon. She will require surgery for it to fully heal as we have already tried rehabbing it. Its been 8 months since we first knew of the surgery but I was unable to cover the funds.

Its pressing issue and Im sick to my stomach about it. She is my whole life as I don't have and close family at all. She supports me in so many ways especially emotionally. She is such a great dog all around and If I can get her help soon I don't know what Im gonna do.
