About this campaign

Xoxi was abandoned by his mother in the jungle of Tulum when he was less than an hour old. We rescued him from the birds that were attacking him and bottle fed him around the clock until he was big enough to begin to eat solid food. We moved him with us back to the US and he's been a faithful family companion for 4 years. Helping my son through the isolation of covid and bringing us all such joy

Xoxi has delighted us all but the newest member of our family, our granddaughter, loves him more than us all. And the feeling is mutual, he's our baby.

He is everyone's favorite, everywhere he goes! He loves the laser pointer and will play for hours with a mouse on the end of a fishing pole. He sleeps at night on my son's chest.

Xoxi came home this morning with his right hind leg dragging behind him. We rushed him to the emergency vet and they say he needs his leg amputated. He's missing the ankle joint and the leg is only hanging on by soft tissue.

We've been out of work for 20 months. My husband just got a job but we have no extra money to spend on saving our baby. It just seems criminal to put him to sleep because of a broken leg.
