About this campaign
Yancko and his human family are struggling and they really need your help!
Fausto F. tells Waggle he and his wife adopted Yancko when he was just a four-month-old pup. "We loved him since we met him," he says. "Yancko is special to us because he understands when we feel bad, or somebody is crying for any reason. He will come to you and lift his paw to your elbow, and you can tell in his look that he is telling you, 'everything will be okay.'"
But recently, the family's beloved Yancko suffered a mysterious injury. "It all happened when he went to run like he always does. He came back crying and not being able to walk properly anymore," Fausto says. Now Yancko's legs turn inward, and he needs an MRI at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital to diagnose what's causing the problem.
Fausto's family can't afford the scan because they, like so many others, lost their jobs during the pandemic. "As COVID began, my wife had to stay home with our newborn," he says. "I was unemployed for months because I work as a painter, and no one wanted to have workers inside their houses. I had to take loans to survive our financial crisis."
All Fausto wishes for is to have their Yancko back to being the bouncy, loving member of their family he's always been, "It will mean everything to see our dog run again."
