About this campaign

Ylva is a 7 month old Great Pyrenees mix. We found a guy that had her and her seven siblings in a pen that was about 8ftx8ft. The dogs were all covered in feces, fleas, and fighting each other. Unfortunately we couldn't take all of them at the time but we could take one. So we picked her out of the crowd and reported the neglect to animal control. We got her cleaned up and took her home.

In the week that we have owned Ylva, we thought that she was timid and scared. She spent most of her time curled up/hiding. So we have been working on socializing her. A few days ago we saw that she had vomited. We took her to VCA of Bakersfield and they diagnosed her with Parvo.

I wish I had a lot to share about her personality but we were just learning to trust each other. She is young and timid but she loves my other dogs and our livestock. In the week that she has been with us, she has started to approach us when called and smile when we pet her.

We have Care Credit and plan to use it. However we can't afford the entire treatment for her. We are looking for a third of her treatment to be covered. I want to see her live and I want to see her flourish into the amazing dog I know she is deep down.
