Yogi is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Haymarket, , who needs $9,000 for Bilateral TPL Surgery.

Yogi came into our lives 7 years ago from a rescue. We transported up to our home from Tennessee. His original name was Bear but we decided on Yogi Berra. Yogi has just stuck. He fit in perfectly with his big brother Rolf. He’s a fun loving dog that gets along with all animals.

We noticed Yogi wasn’t himself. He was kind of wabbling as he walked. We went into the vet and they did X-rays, and bloodwork. They put him on antibiotics for tick borne diseases. His walking then deteriorated more. They recommended we see neurologist. Saw the neuro & turns out it’s not neurological but he blew out both his knees. He needs bilateral TPL surgery. Yogi is one of the best dogs. He loves all other animals. He’s social and wants to just be around his people. He loves going for car rides & seeing his 3 best doggy friends LG, Oreo & Ellie. After losing Rolf unexpectedly a year and a half ago we can’t bare to lose him. We know if we can get this surgery done he’ll have lots of years & life left in him.

This surgery was completely unexpected. He’s never had issues with his legs before but being a jumper he finally just over did it. The surgery not including what we’ve already paid is going to be around $9000. It would mean the world to us to have him healthy and back home.
