About this campaign

Yogi was adopted from my local animal shelter in February 2023. I fell in love with him as soon as I met him. I chose the name Yogi because I have another small terrier dog named Nogi that looks like him. He is just the sweetest most gentle dog. He came from an abusive home that never showed him love. As unfortunate as it is, he is always excited just to eat and to be kissed and hugged.

Yogi is a complete lap dog. He feels safest in your lap and its his favorite place to nap. He is quite the couch potato due to being a senior dog, however whenever he hears the front door open or the crinkle of a wrapper opening, he always scurries with his tail wagging to greet you or investigate what food you may have to share with him.

Yogi is special because he is such a sweet little dog. Since he had an abusive background he is humble and grateful for anything he receives including love, affection, food, and a bed. These are basic things he should have had his whole life. One of my favorite things that he does is when he wakes me up with kisses in the middle of the night when he wants to sleep in the bed with me.

Yogi suffered a nosebleed that continued to bleed which led to an emergency pet visit. He was diagnosed with anemia caused by a tick-borne disease and valley fever that he has had for months that went undetected prior to his adoption. He needs lifesaving blood transfusions and medication to live.

Yogi's medical bills are a costly and unexpected expense at a time when I am looking for work. It would mean the world to have Yogi healthy again. I have only had the chance to love him for a month and 3 weeks. He deserves a lifetime of love and happiness.
