About this campaign
We Adopted Yondu from a close friend when he was 6 weeks old, He is now 3 years old. He is a beautiful Australian shepherd mix we think with beautiful heterochromia (multi-colored eyes). His full name is Yondu Tazerface Richardson, The night before we adopted him we saw the movie Guardians of the Galaxy 2 so we named him after our favorite characters.
Yondu is a huge cuddle bug! Before he got sick he would spend hours on my bed with me during online school, he loves racing cars outside the fence, and playing with his big brothers and sisters! His all-time favorite thing is car rides. Anytime I go to leave he runs to my car keys and his leash, he loves sticking his head out the window and making new friends!
Yondu loves the rain, our other dog is terrified of storms but Yondu loves to sit out there in the sprinkling rain and enjoy the weather, Some times he is super calm and collected and we joke that that is Yondu, but other times he is revved up and ready to play and that is Tazerface. But no matter who he acts like we love him so much.
*We are still waiting on an official diagnosis with a sonogram. Our veterinarian Dr.Gerri Fraizer at Caring Hearts veterinary clinic believes it is A long-term diagnosis of chylothorax. This means he has a blockage somewhere in his intestinal track(we do not know if the blockage is cancer) that is causing his stomach acid to build up and flood into his lungs and lung cavity.
Because this is so rare we do not know if he will need surgery or just the sonogram and draining the fluid, we have been quoted that the surgery its self could cost $4500 and the sonogram another $800, we would give anything to have our happy and healthy Yondu back again<3
