About this campaign

Yoshi was rescued from a backyard breeder in the summer of 2018. They had the intention of inhumanely euthanizing her when she was only four weeks old. The person who had her deprived her of basic needs, food, water, shelter and most importantly, love. She has been in my care since then where she is loved unconditionally and spoiled rotten.

Yoshi's household is full of love and laughter and four furry siblings as well as two human siblings. Her favorite spot to sleep is right next her human mom and dad. She doesn't always play but loves to eat and cuddle. Sometimes she will get a wild hair and jump, run and bark. She even chases the scary hand monster that occasionally crawls over the bed.

Yoshi is very special to me as we have created a strong bond throughout the years. She has a way of making me feel better and calming me down. When I am sad, she will stretch both of her paws up into my face, make big puppy eyes and wag her little tail as fast as she can to get my attention from whatever is making me sad.

Sunday evening Yoshi had taken a fall and dislocated her back left hip. She is unable to bear weight on her left side due to a previous injury. After the first vet visit where the doctor was unsuccessful in setting it back into place. Yoshi was referred to a specialist, in canine orthopedics, where we discussed the option for FHO Surgery, Femoral Head Ostectomy.

The injury and cost of surgery were unexpected as we do not have a rainy-day fund. Yoshi is my world, and I would do anything for her. It pains me to not be able to provide the funds to immediately alleviate the pain she is experiencing.
