Yukon is a 14-year-old Border Collie in Cleveland, OH, who needs $440 for Lab Work & Medications for Liver Disease.

Yukon, the Dude, and “Pretty Kitty”, is the main event! The quirkiest of quirk. The silliest of silly. And he has been my best friend his entire life.

Coming into my life at just 8 weeks of age, Yukon quickly to the ‘fast and free’ life. From one trail to the next, he trekked alongside me, providing me companionship and laughs along the way.

Yukon is the light in my days and the sun shine in the clouds. He never ceases to amuse me, share a new skill or trick, or out hike me on any given trail. Even at his age! At home, he doesn’t let a moment go by without shining a ray of light and joy on my days. I feel honored to snuggle up with him at night and be wakened by his silly morning dance as the sun rises.

In order to continue to stay his happy, quirky, kitty self, Yukon must treat his liver on a daily basis. I am currently seeking assistance with this treatment, as each month, I am finding it challenging to afford the rising costs of medications on a fixed income.

Yukon had an event in 2020, that still remains a mystery. One day he was normal and the next, experienced sudden liver failure. I did administer a medication just prior to the event, but we will never know if this was the true cause of his episode. However scary that moment in time was, he recovered and is happy and healthy again, thanks to the amazing work that Oak Tree Vet did for him.

Yukon is my “Pretty Kitty”, and as such, is even the all star main character in the children’s book, “Pretty Kitty” by H.M. Pearl.

In this book written for and about him, it is easy to see his personality shine through and his quirks come to life. From yarn play to catty-whacks, and laying in the rays of sunshine through the window, he lives up to his namesake.
