About this campaign
A friend of mine had a new fur baby, I commented on how adorable she was and that I would love to have a puppy. My friend said there was 1 puppy left and she would have him held for me. A couple days later she said he already had a home. I was sad. Then a week later she called and said the family backed out and the puppy was mine. Yukon was added to our family.
Yukon has brought so much fun and joy to our home. I have 3 adult children and a daughter in law who all love him. My husband never wanted a dog so the kids didn't have one growing up. My hubby finally gave in and said ok to having a dog. Now he loves Yukon too, and Yukon always goes to him for snacks. Yukon makes us laugh with all of the ways he communicates with little huffs, or body movements.
Cancer is not just devastating physically and emotionally but financially as well. My husband and I do not have $500 to $700 over and above our expenses and financial commitments each month.
Yukon was diagnosed March 18th with lymphoma. The Dr. at Companion Hospital said it is treatable. Yukon is receiving treatment from Holistic Pet Vet Clinic. There are many natural herbs and supplements that fight cancer that is being given to Yukon. Though this is less costly than chemo it is still $500 to $700 a month. Yukon will be on these for several months.
Yukon is special to me because I waited a very long time to get him. Yukon became apart of my family during a very tough time. My best friend was a few months away from losing her battle with cancer, another friend died a 6 weeks later and we lost my father in law 10 days later. All of that lose was devastating and taking care of Yukon was often what got me out of bed in the morning.
