I saw Yuri on the website of a shelter in Manhattan. I knew right away I had to meet him. We took the two hour drive to the shelter and it was love at first sight. We had found the dog we were looking for. That was 7 years ago and he's been part of our family since. Yuri moved from New York to Texas and then to Florida with us. He was there when we brought our daughter home. They love each other.

Yuri had just recovered from a broken right back leg after a car hit him. We were at the park and he was very excited to run around. Suddenly he started limping on his left back leg. It wasn't getting any better, so we took him to the vet. That's when we got the diagnosis 'cranial cruciate ligament rupture'. No doubt he needs surgery. Dr. Choi with Paws to Health will be performing the surgery.

Yuri loves children. Every time he sees or hears kids his tail starts wagging and he gets excited. He is very gentle and loves to cuddle. Yuri is picky when it comes to four legged friends. Either he loves them or not at all. He gets excited about squeaky toys, enjoys taking a swim and gets a kick out of snow. He loves to hang out with his grandparents cause they have the best treats.

We went through our emergency funds in April of 2024 because Yuri got hit by a car and needed surgery in order to keep his leg. We had just moved into a rental. The cost of living in Florida is very hight and we are barely making ends meet. Yuris well being means everything.
