Zeke is a deaf white Boxer, approximately six years old. I adopted him from a local rescue on 8/2/19, 63 days following the tragic loss of my white Boxer, Gideon to lymphoma. Zeke struggles with intense anxiety, yes has a sweet, sensitive disposition and could be defined as a stage 10 clinger. He loves his mama. A couple of years after adopting Zeke, I adopted Zella who has helped him be a dog.

Zeke sleeps with his mama. Aside from his full trust in his mama, he has two adult human brothers he trusts blindly. His #1 fav thing to do is perch himself on the living room sofa and watch out the window to perform cat patrol duties. This allows him to perform cat patrol duties, by chasing off the neighborhood trespassing cats through the window by giving them the evil eye.

Zeke hates water. He has the classic Boxer wiggle butt he offers when returning home or after a poop. lol He knows several hand signals and picks up new ones very quickly!

Zeke is a multiple mast cell tumor survivor. Between September 2019 (at two years old) and February 2023, he's undergone six surgeries, three were cancer. He is likely suffering w/ degenerative myelopathy. He had an MRI 8/1/23, & a radiologist incidentally found a small mass in his abdomen. Now he needs a ultrasound-guided fine needle biopsy on 8/30.

Unexpected costs such as bathroom pipe damage, roof damage from last winter, numerous cancer surgeries, and now $12,875.12 spent on ruling out DM, has made the upcoming ultrasound biopsy impossible. We have a lovely Instagram community who has helped with his MRI costs.
